About the Co-op aims to tell you whatever it is you want to know about co-ops in the UK.

Perhaps you're doing a school project or an in-depth study on a particular type of co-operative, maybe you want to know about the Movement's history or who you can speak to about setting up a co-op. Whatever it is, we're sure you'll be able to find the answers to your questions and queries.

The modern Co-operative Movement started in a small industrial town in Lancashire in the nineteenth century but, as you will discover, it is now an international Movement. About the Co-op therefore also gives you an insight into the global co-operative picture so you can see just how co-operatives and co-operators are making a difference to the lives of billions of people in countries across the world.
